ELGIN, Iowa — Two 19-year-olds, Gabrielle Kay Becker of Cedar Falls and Emina Emmi Alagic of Waterloo, were arrested following a home invasion and assault in Elgin, according to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to the incident Monday, after receiving a late-night call about an assault. Becker and Alagic allegedly broke into a home and assaulted two residents. Their vehicle was later located in West Union, where a traffic stop led to their arrest.

Becker faces multiple charges, including first-degree burglary, second-degree robbery, second-degree criminal mischief, third-degree theft, and domestic assault causing injury. Alagic is charged with first-degree burglary and trespass with injury. A search of their vehicle revealed stolen property belonging to the victims.
