SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - A new fire safety exhibit opened at Springfield’s Discovery Center.
The Springfield Fire Department assisted in the exhibit. In a nod to the number Pi, the new hands-on experience is called Station 3.14.
The new space enables children to acquire life-saving knowledge and fire prevention skills through play and exploration. Interactive experiences include a 911 call simulator, a hands-only CPR station, fire hose target practice, and more.
It opens just in time for October’s Fire Prevention Month. Funding for station 3.14 was provided by Missouri State University’s Pike Fraternity and The Sunshine Brotherhood.
