KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A Kansas City man was sentenced Tuesday for illegal gun possession.
The U.S. Department of Justice said 31-year-old David Michael Gager, also known as David Kash, was sentenced to nearly six years in prison without parole. Gager was given 71 months in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Court documents said Gager pleaded guilty in May to knowingly possessing a gun as a felon between April 19, 2024, and May 16, 2024.
Undercover agents made four separate controlled purchases from Gager, who told them he could get machine guns and methamphetamine for future transactions.
During one of those transactions, court documents said Gager told the undercover agent he acquires the guns in Kansas City and transports them to Chicago to sell for a profit.
