CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The Circleville community is grieving the loss of 16-year-old Drace Johnson , who died days after a crash on Saturday.

Johnson was pronounced dead at the hospital on Monday.

The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 17-year-old driver. He is charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

Deputies said the driver was heading north on state Route 762 in Darby Township around 11:15 p.m. when he hit a guard rail and ricocheted into the property across the street. The sheriff's office said there was a total of four juveniles in the vehicle.

Bo Barker was watching TV when he heard the truck hit the side of his house.

“There were two kids when we came out. One kid said he was the driver. The other was on the ground and he was in bad shape,” Barker said.
