YSR Congress party on Tuesday slammed the Telugu Desam Party-led coalition government led by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for neglecting Andhra Pradesh’s vital interests while resorting to diversionary politics and personal attacks in the assembly.

YSRCP state general secretary S V Satish Reddy expressed alarm over Chandrababu Naidu’s silence on Karnataka’s plans to raise the height of Almatti Dam, warning that it would deprive Andhra Pradesh of 100 TMCs of Krishna water, paralyze irrigation and drinking supply, intensify drought in Rayalaseema, and halt inflows to Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar.

“As a coalition partner at the Centre, Chandrababu Naidu must stop this. His failure is nothing but a curse on the state,” Satish said.
