Following her collapse onstage in New York City last week, British pop star Lola Young announced she is taking a break from her career to prioritize her well being.

"I'm going away for a while. It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future," the 24-year old singer-songwriter wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

The artist went on to add, "I really hope you’ll give me a second chance once I’ve had some time to work on myself and come back stronger."

Young's announcement comes after she collapsed during a live performance in New York City on Saturday.
