The Tulsa State Fair is celebrating 11 days of cute new arrivals. From goats and lambs to calves and piglets, the birthing center is bustling with fresh faces, giving fairgoers a chance to witness new life up close.

Veterinarians and volunteers are on hand daily to help with deliveries, answer questions and showcase the care that goes into raising livestock.

A front-row seat to new life

Dr. Rebekah Hartfield, a veterinarian volunteering at the fair, said the experience highlights both animal care and education.

“We want to showcase that we care about these animals, that we want the very best for them and step in when needed,” Hartfield said. “We want to show them how they give birth and that we care through that entire process.”
