KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Potholes and road slips have left neighbors worried for their safety in the Clendenin area.

Timothy Elmore is among them.

“It’s in really poor condition,” Elmore said. “The area we are in now has a slip, which makes it down to one lane.”

Elmore, who has lived along Bufflick Road in Clendenin since he was 5 years old, said he has never seen the road in such bad shape.

He said the amount and size of the potholes make them hard for drivers to avoid.

“Three to four inches deep and pretty wide ... people are going into the other lane to avoid the potholes, which when you come down a road and meeting them and they are clear over on your side of the road, which is not a very comfortable position to be in,” Elmore said.

He said he just wants to see the road fix
