MILTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Municipal workers from across the region attended an OSHA training on Tuesday in Milton. The training focused on OSHA standards for excavations and confined spaces.

The training was prompted by the death of Milton city worker Paul Linville, who died in August in a workplace accident. The city said he was installing a sewer tap in a trench when the trench collapsed and killed him.

“Everyone loved Paul,” Milton’s Public Works Manager Mike Ramsey told WSAZ at the time. “He was a permanent fixture here for the city for many years. ... Everybody’s mourning the loss.”
