NEW HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - A 39-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly breaking into an elementary school in New Hartford.

State police say they responded to Ann Antolini Elementary School at 12:42 a.m. for a reported general premise alarm.

When troopers arrived in the area, they found a shirtless man in front of the Nepaug Fire Department. State police say he had multiple abrasions on his skin, was wearing dark colored shorts, one black sock and was speaking rapidly.

The man was identified as 39-year-old Adam Wesolowski of New Hartford.

Wesolowski told troopers he was in the area because he was walking in the woods and had lost his flashlight and shirt. He denied being near the school.
