NEW BRITAIN, CT. (WFSB) - A man was shot in the leg in New Britain Tuesday evening.

Police say that it happened in the area of Jubilee Street.

Officers responded and located the victim, who was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Witness told police that a green sedan was potentially involved but had left the area.

The public is not believed to be in any danger.

The incident is under investigation.
