AUSTIN, Texas — As Hispanic Heritage Month continues, KVUE is spotlighting one of Austin’s most popular coffee shops run by two brothers from Colombia.

In four years, Desnudo Coffee has grown from a fold-out table at a farmer’s market to three trucks that draw long lines on weekends.

Even at lunchtime on a Tuesday, the grind doesn’t stop at the Desnudo Coffee trailer on Webberville Road in East Austin.

Juan Trujillo started it in April 2022 with his younger brother, Sergio.

During COVID, Juan was working finance in his native Colombia. Sergio, who has an engineering background, was working on high-end construction in Los Angeles.

Both brothers wanted something new. Their plan: open a bakery.
