LeBron James will not call a timeout on his retirement plans for younger son's sake.
Though the Los Angeles Lakers player is currently on the same team as his 20-year-old son Bronny James , LeBron said he's "not waiting" around to find out if 18-year-old Bryce James —who's currently playing college basketball for the University of Arizona—will join the NBA.
"I don't know what his timeline is," LeBron told reporters during a Lakers press conference Sept. 29 . "He's his own young man now. He's down in Tucson. We'll see what happens this year, next year—but he has his own timeline."
But the 40-year-old is still open potentially sharing a court with Bryce. As he put it, "I got my timeline, and I don't know if they quite match up, but we'll see."
