CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — One day before he is set to leave office, Cleveland Heights Mayor Kahlil Seren dropped one last bombshell on City Hall by firing Law Director William Hanna, who had served six years on the job.

In a termination letter shared with 3News and other media outlets, Seren told Hanna he was being fired "for cause" and alleged a "repeated inability to truly and fairly represent those entities and officials to which you have a duty as law director and my reasonable expectation that you will continue this damaging pattern of poor representation of the city council and its individual members, the incoming interim mayor, and the next elected mayor."
