LANETT, Ala. (WTVM) - A Lanett woman is facing charges after police say she broke into a vehicle outside a business and stole items Tuesday morning.
According to Chief D. McCain, officers with the Lanett Police Department were called to the 2100 block of South Broad Avenue around 10:45 a.m. on Sept. 30. When they arrived, investigators quickly identified a possible suspect and went to a nearby home.
There, officers arrested Aleigha Gregory and charged her with unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle and resisting arrest. Police say the stolen property was recovered and returned to the owner. They also found two stolen firearms and several other stolen items.
Gregory was taken to the Chambers County Jail, where she is being held. At the time of her arrest, she was already out on bond fo
