DENER (KDVR) — A resident of Thornton made professional tennis history with her win at the U.S. Open in September, according to a press release from the United States Tennis Association.
Sabina Czauz is only 18 years old and has just begun her freshman year at the University of Arizona, but despite her young age, she already has a tennis portfolio that could make even the most seasoned vets full of envy.
Czauz is a top-rated wheelchair tennis player who made history at the Junior U.S. Open.
After making it to the Girls' Wheelchair Singles finals of the Australian Open and the Roland Garros, also known as the French Open, Czauz became runner-up in two of the four big Grand Slam singles titles available for the year.
