A multi-county Silver Alert for an 89-year-old man with dementia last seen in Compton has been terminated after he was located, authorities announced Tuesday.

Benjamin Smith had last been seen at approximately 1:30 p.m. Sunday at South Cliveden Avenue and West Caldwell Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The alert was issued for Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Ventura and San Bernardino counties.

Sheriff’s officials said Tuesday that Smith has been located, but no further details were provided regarding when or where he was found.
