MAULDIN, S.C. —
The construction of a multi-use soccer stadium in Mauldin is expected to fuel small businesses, restaurants and community infrastructure.
The Bridgeway Station venue, set to host up to 6,300 people, will act as a permanent home for Greenville pro soccer teams and a hub for entertainment. When visitors are not cheering on the Triumph or Liberty, they can use the stadium for concerts, festivals and community events.
The project will cost the city of Mauldin $4 million. Another $10 million will come from the state of South Carolina, and $13.5 million will come from Greenville Pro Soccer.
Mayor Terry Merritt said Bridgeway Station has brought in more than $200,000 since it opened in 2024.
"If you wanted entertainment or good dining, you went downtown Greenville, and we wer
