GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - The massive American flag flying at the Camping World RV dealership in Greenville has been the topic of controversy since last year.
But House Bill 926, a regulatory bill that includes a provision that will prevent local governments from restricting the size of official government flags on private property, will go into law this week without the signature of Gov. Josh Stein.
Camping World’s General Manager James Foskey says the law is a win for the company.
“So, it’s great news,” he said. “We never intended this fight, we didn’t want the fight. But what the flag means to this country, this company, to our owner Marcus? I mean, it’s great news.”
