OMAHA, Neb. —

Omaha's homeless services coordinator Tamara Dwyer gave a presentation Tuesday night at the Omaha Downtown Improvement District board meeting.

Dwyer’s presentation was a full report on homelessness in Omaha. She laid out Mayor Ewing’s priorities, addressed the work done from 2024 reports, and how the Homeless Task Force plans to move forward.

It was conducted in January and accounts for Douglas, Sarpy, and Pottawattamie County.

More than 1,500 people are considered "homeless," including those staying in shelters and in transitional housing. Almost 200 are considered unsheltered.
