LATTA, S.C. —

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has charged a man with inflicting great bodily injury upon a child.

According to the arrest warrant, on Dec. 8, 2024, Jamison Antwan Jones abused a two-month-old child.

Medical staff reported that the child suffered several fractures, a subdural hematoma, a torn upper frenulum and retinal hemorrhaging, putting the victim at a substantial risk of death.

On Tuesday, Sept. 30, SLED charged the 34-year-old. Jones was booked into the Dillon County Detention Center.

The case will be prosecuted by the 4th Circuit Solicitor's Office.
