GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The City of Greenville says a former club-turned-restaurant has violated conditions of their special exception permit, resulting in the revocation of its privileges to operate after midnight.
According to a letter sent to the restaurant’s owner, Jessica Kearns, the city’s principal development planner said Reys on Main Street violated several conditions related to food service and music .
One violation includes hosting DJs. Under city policy, businesses are only allowed to play ambient background music after midnight. In an appeals letter, Kearns said the DJs used the same speaker system as the restaurant’s background music. However, she agreed to stop hosting DJs after midnight.
The permit also requires Reys to operate as a General Food and Beverage
