SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - For those who have never seen a Clydesdale up close, quit horsing around and head to Springfield this week for the World Clydesdale Show.

The show will run from Wednesday, Oct. 1, to Sunday, Oct. 5, at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.

Over 600 Clydesdale horses will be on display as exhibitors from all over the world compete for the world championship title.

The event is free to attend, and there will be a variety of food trucks, along with vendors, a beer garden and the Budweiser Clydesdales on display.
