SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A man was arrested Tuesday (Sept. 30) after a man was found shot to death in a vehicle in Shreveport’s Highland neighborhood.

On Monday at approximately 11:30 p.m., Shreveport police officers responded to reports of gunfire near the intersection of Egan Street and Gilbert Street. When they got there, they found a vehicle in the 400 block of Egan Street with multiple bullet holes.

Inside the vehicle, officers discovered 55-year-old Gerald Damon Washington , who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers immediately removed Washington from the vehicle and rendered life-saving measures. Despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
