A man who died early Tuesday after being struck by several vehicles in Desert Hot Springs has been identified as 18-year-old Jaime Castro, according to the Riverside County Coroner's Office.

The collision was reported at about 4:10 a.m. on Sept. 30 near North Indian Canyon Drive and Scenic Drive. Officers "located an adult male pedestrian in the roadway suffering from fatal injuries after having been struck by vehicles," Desert Hot Springs police said in a press release.

Several motorists stopped at the scene, but investigators believe there may be additional drivers who either struck Castro or witnessed his movements before the collision.
