DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Six people were displaced after a Davenport house fire Tuesday morning.
Davenport firefighters said a person living in the home heard a smoke alarm go off and found smoke and fire in the kitchen of a home on Parkwood Drive, according to a media release.
When fire crews got to the house, officials said they saw light smoke coming from a first-floor kitchen window and said all the people who lived in the house were outside.
Crews found the fire on the main floor and quickly put it out, officials said.
No one was hurt and officials said the Red Cross was contacted to help the six people who lived in the house.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
