After Week 6 of the high school football season, let's take a stab at some mid-season awards.

Who is the offensive MVP?

This is a hard call right now with so many candidates with similar numbers.

We'll start with the high-flying South Panthers who are averaging an area best 44 points per game, but there's a split vote there.

There's junior quarterback Duncan Combs, coming off a 15-for-15 night against Southport, who has been good on 78% of his passes for 1,028 yards, 9 TDs and just one interception. South has four receivers with double-digit catches and four with 100 yards or more.

Last year's H-T Player of the Year, Braylen Townsend is off to a great start (643 yards, 12 TDs) but he got hurt in the middle of the win at Terre Haute South in Week 5 and sat out last Friday's rout of Sou
