There are only five weeks left in the 2025 Western North Carolina high school football season .

With only a handful of weeks left, the Citizen Times and Times-News wanted to highlight the top underclassmen in WNC.

Some underclassmen, like North Henderson sophomore running back Parker Willis and Franklin sophomore running back Garrett Young, were expected to have big seasons. Others, like Asheville High sophomore quarterback Tay Williams, were unexpected.
