A man says his holiday to Turkey turned into a 'nightmare' following an allergic reaction during his flight. Dan Bowes, 32, was travelling to Dalaman Airport from Newcastle on July 9 with his best friend Clair on a Jet2 flight when his throat started to swell.
He had never previously experienced any known allergies, and took an antihistamine, assuming it was hay fever, which he had only developed for the first time this year. Nevertheless, his breathing became deeper and more laboured, and it quickly became apparent that he required assistance, reports Chronicle Live .
Dan, from Consett, said: "I can't fault what happened on the flight and the way the crew helped me, I was given oxygen and assisted by the staff, and there were also medical people waiting for me at the airport when we a
