Middlesbrough's Unicorn Centre has announced its closure "with heartfelt sadness" - amid "growing financial pressures". The registered charity has provided horse riding and equine therapy for children and adults with additional needs in the Teesside area since 1998.
But after 27 years of making a difference to the lives of people of all ages, the centre, in Stainton Way, Hemlington , confirmed to Teesside Live it is to close, despite "careful consideration" of all options. It also posted about the news on its Facebook page, with hundreds of people liking and commenting on the announcement.
