IKEA pick-up lockers are coming to Tesco Extra in Ayr, after the proposals were rubber stamped by council planners. ‌

The Swedish furniture giant has teamed up with Tesco to help take some of the pain out of DIY- and offer home improvement enthusiasts the chance to pick up their goods nearer to home. ‌

So those who purchase goods from Ikea’s stores can now save on the petrol mileage - and pick up their gear from a secure lock-up on Whitletts Road. ‌

Ayrshire Live previously revealed how a planning application, lodged with South Ayrshire Council, sought permission for IKEA ‘Pick-Up’ Lockers at Tesco Extra, Whitletts Road.

It’s designed to create a more “accessible shopping experience” for IKEA customers.
