LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Little League team in Louisville has been playing without a home field since 2018, but the Tenth Street Cardinals have a brand-new place to learn the skills that will help them on and off the gridiron.
Mayor Craig Greenberg, D-Louisville, and community leaders celebrated the revitalization and reopening of the new Walnut Street Park Tuesday.
“This is a near $4 million investment in this community and an investment in west Louisville,” Greenberg said at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. “Residents and visitors will now have a very safe and incredibly welcoming place to play tennis, to play pickleball, to go for a walk, to bring their children to this awesome playground and the spray-down ground. And that’s just the beginning.”
