A Cattedown garage has been damaged by a fire which broke out overnight in Faraday Mill Industrial Park. The blaze started at Oceancity Autos on Cattewater Road at around 3.30am on Wednesday, October 1.
Firefighters rushed to the scene in the early hours after the blaze was reported. Five fire engines from across Plymouth and South Devon were sent to the blaze, which spread to the R&H Vehicle Repairs premises next door.
R&H bosses told PlymouthLive they received a call around 4am informing them of the fire. Their property suffered some minor damage inside, while the garage next door was damaged by both flames and smoke.
By 8am, the blaze had been extinguished. The cause of the fire is unknown and an investigation has been taking place throughout the day to determine what happened.
