LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- People will come together on Wednesday, October 1, to remember a day that changed the lives of hundreds of people eight years earlier.
Clark County will host a 1 October Sunrise Remembrance, as it has done in past years. Governor Joe Lombardo, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sheriff Kevin McMahill, Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom, and Jeff Poole, the father of one of the 58 people killed at the 2017 Route 91 Harvest Festival, will speak.
The ceremony begins at 7:30 a.m. in the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater in downtown Las Vegas. People are also encouraged to visit an exhibit in the Rotunda Gallery, which has a display of items related to the shooting and the community's response to the tragedy.
