DALLAS — Tecose Dchaz Martin saw a news story from Colorado, prosecutors said, and saw money: "We can get rich off blues," he told an associate.

The "blues" he was referencing were fentanyl pills, and Martin, who would become known as "Blues Man," began buying the drugs by the thousand, prosecutors said.

One of those pills, according to authorities, ultimately led to the overdose death of a 17-year-old boy.

On Monday, Martin, 38, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for his role in the case, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Texas.

Martin, of Mesquite, in July had pleaded guilty in the teen overdose death. Connor Miller, 22, of Richardson, also pleaded guilty in the case this year on a charge of aiding and abetting the distribution of fentanyl. Mille
