A grandmother who married a Moroccan man 24 years her junior, whom she met on Facebook, is still unable to live with him after he was twice denied a UK visa. Karen Aghzzaf, 70, encountered her husband Brahim, 46, on the social media platform in July 2015 while living in Castleford, Yorkshire.

Brahim was living in Khemisset, Morocco. Karen said people initially "thought he was with me for my money or citizenship" due to their significant age difference. Brahim is merely five years older than Karen's eldest son, taxi driver Dominic, 41, and 14 years older than her other son, charity shop volunteer Jordan.

The mum-of-two and grandmother-of-three said they "instantly hit it off" and she was drawn to his kindness, leading her to fly to Marrakesh in July 2016 to meet him in pers
