A man has died after collapsing outside a pub, police have confirmed.

Emergency services were called to The Three Greyhounds Pub in Allostock near Knutsford on Tuesday night (September 30).

A man in his 60s, known to the pub as Dave, collapsed while leaving the pub with his wife on Holmes Chapel Road at around 6.30pm.

Paramedics arrived at the scene but he was sadly pronounced dead.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "At 6.30pm on Tuesday 30 September, police were called to reports that a man had collapsed outside the Three Greyhounds on Holmes Chapel Road, Allostock.

"Police and paramedics attended, but sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
