BENGALURU: Reacting reports that the state government may be considering imposing a congestion tax in Bengaluru, Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar said there will be no congestion tax now. “Some industrialists have suggested introducing it, but we haven’t discussed it yet”.
Stating that his city rounds will continue, the Deputy CM said, “I will organise a programme where they can interact with all citizens. I will share more details about this in the coming days”.
Regarding potholes, DK Shivakumar said, “We are transforming Bengaluru and we will also change people’s perceptions. We have asked the public to report potholes and the quality of our roads is improving.
