FORT WORTH, Texas — One person died after allegedly selling drugs to a person who, unhappy with the purchase, returned to confront them, Fort Worth police said.

Officers responded to a shooting call around 4:50 a.m. Tuesday to a motel in the 4400 block of South Freeway, the Fort Worth Police Department said in a press release.

When police arrived, they found the victim in a motel room with a gunshot wound to their abdomen, the release states. The victim died on the scene, police said.

Detectives learned that the victim allegedly sold drugs to the suspect earlier in the day, the release states.
