PHOENIX — A pedestrian was hospitalized Wednesday morning after being involved in a crash, Phoenix police said.

Around 3:30 a.m., officers arrived at a scene near 43rd Avenue and Indian School Road for reports of a crash involving a car and pedestrian. First responders found the pedestrian, identified as a man, and transferred him to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver of the car stayed on scene and spoke with officers, authorities said. The identities of those involved were not released.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
