NEW DELHI: Protests against the Pakistan government have entered their third consecutive day in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). According to the latest reports, eight civilians were killed in the clashes with security forces. The dead included four people from Dhirkot in Bagh district, two from Muzaffarabad, and two from Mirpur. Yesterday, two people were killed in Muzaffarabad.

The protests are being led by the Joint Awami Action Committee, demanding protection of basic rights. Videos have surfaced showing demonstrators pelting stones at containers placed on a bridge in Muzaffarabad to block them and pushing the containers into the river.
