Over the last few recruiting cycles, it’s clear how much the Iowa women’s basketball brand has intensified.

The Hawkeyes feel like they at least have a shot with just about every prospect, no matter what the competition looks like.

Nothing accentuates that more than McKenna Woliczko’s Oct. 1 commitment , which finished off a months-long recruiting battle that saw the No. 6 overall player in the 2026 class choose Iowa over giants like South Carolina, USC and Ohio State. Landing a recruit of this caliber would’ve mostly been a pipe dream for the Hawkeyes not too long ago.
