A 44-year-old motorcyclist from Norfolk County was killed in a crash on Highway 6 in Mount Hope late Tuesday.

Emergency services were called around 11 p.m. to the two-vehicle crash involving a transport truck and motorcycle in the intersection of Highway 6 and Upper James Street.

Ontario Provincial Police said the motorcyclist was southbound on Upper James, approaching the intersection, and the transport truck was northbound, turning left to continue on Highway 6, when they collided in the intersection.

Hamilton paramedics transported the 44-year-old man to hospital without vital signs, said Commander Dave Thompson. Paramedics were performing resuscitative measures en route to hospital.

He was pronounced dead in hospital.
