CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) - A teenager from Canfield is facing a felonious assault charge for an alleged sexual assault on another teenager.

The charge against the 17-year-old boy was filed Tuesday in Mahoning County's Juvenile Court.

The charge stems from a report that was made with the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office on August 10. A deputy had been called to an emergency room in Austintown, where he spoke with a 17-year-old boy who reported the alleged assault.

According to the report, the boy said he fell asleep at a party and the suspect sexually assaulted him with a pool cue.

Staff at the hospital noted that the boy did have an injury, and they were checking for possible internal injuries as well.
