Tripura has registered one of its strongest years for tourism, with both domestic and international arrivals showing double-digit growth, according to official figures reported by ANI. Between 2023 and 2024, domestic tourist arrivals rose 64.07 per cent, from 0.366 million to 0.601 million. Foreign arrivals grew 36.15 per cent, climbing from 0.067 million to 0.091 million. With this growth, Tripura continues to be the second most visited state for foreign tourists in the North-east, behind Sikkim.
