Alabama State football has heard all the hype about its passing game and the play of quarterback Andrew Body since the season began — and for good reason. The Hornets are in the top of the SWAC in terms of passing and scoring offense.
In Saturday, Sept. 27's game against Florida A&M at Bragg Memorial Stadium, Alabama State leaned into its running game and it did not disappoint. Alabama State ran the ball 42 times for 304 yards and 4 touchdowns, led by the efforts of Jamarie Hostzclaw and Marcus Harris II. Hostzclaw finished the day with 22 carries and 135 rushing yards, while Harris II rushed for three of the four touchdowns.
"It wasn't so much we're going to run the football, it just was what was working that day," Alabama State coach Eddie Robinson Jr. said Wednesday. "We don't
