EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - A cyclist was hurt by a vehicle on Union Street in Easthampton on Tuesday afternoon.
The Easthampton Police Department states that on Tuesday at around 2:16 p.m., police and fire crews were sent to 97 Union Street for a report of a cyclist who was hit by a vehicle. According to the incident report, the driver was heading west on Union Street, going 20-25 MPH, when he crossed over the bike path crosswalk.

When the driver was on the crosswalk, he saw a cyclist enter the roadway from the passenger side and subsequently struck the right side of his car, landing in the middle of the road. The driver immediately pulled over to the side of the road.
Police say that the bicyclist was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
