NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) -- Norfolk police said one person was hurt in a crash involving a car and the Tide light rail train.

They said it happened at 8:40 a.m. on Wednesday on Brambleton Avenue near the Norfolk Scope. Police believe the driver of the car didn't stop for the light rail, which they said had the right-of-way.

First responders said the driver was hurt, but is expected to live.

The driver was issued a summons for a "failure to yield the right-of-way".
