Nimari Burnett grabbed his shoes to lace them up for practice on Tuesday, Sept. 30, in Crisler Center, then looked around and laughed as he reflected.

A McDonalds All-American out of Chicago, Burnett has gone from freshman at Texas Tech before transferring to Alabama only to tear his ACL and miss the entire season. The following year in Tuscaloosa, Burnett fractured his wrist and three years into his college career had never gotten to enjoy success as part of a team.
