GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - A Greenville County man serving life without parole won’t be getting out ant time soon after a state appeals court upheld his conviction and sentence.
Sosa Mandiez Croft appealed his December 2022 conviction for murder, armed robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. He was found guilty of killing a Mauldin High School student .
On appeal, officials said Croft argued that the trial court’s jury instruction on reasonable doubt lowered the State’s burden of proof. The Appellate Division clarified it did not constitute an abuse of discretion.
